What is Science? - The study of how the World works.
Science is divided into three main disciplines: biology (the study of living organisms), chemistry (the study of the properties of matter) and physics (the study of motion, energy and force). We learn about the World by observing, describing and experimenting. A study of science should develop a sense of excitement and curiosity about the world around us.
What are you curious to know? What are the colours in the rainbow always exactly the same and in the same order?
Science matters because it has led to many inventions and discoveries which have helped form the World we live in today.
