I am delighted and honoured to be the headteacher for Barton Moss Primary School. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our school to you via our website.
I have been a Teacher and a Senior Leader across Salford for 11 years and then 3 years ago, I was appointed as a Head Teacher to Bowness Primary School in Bolton, part of Prestolee Multi Academy Trust. Over those years, I have led the school from Requires Improvement to Good with Outstanding Features (October 2018). This was as a result of everyone working together relentlessly. Teaching is my passion and nothing beats influencing children’s outcomes. Being part of Prestolee Multi Academy Trust is such a pleasure to be a part of and brings about so many opportunities.
I am privileged to lead Barton Moss Primary School and will continue to support the whole community. Having two children of my own, I understand how change can affect how children feel about school. Please be assured the children are always at the heart of every decision made. The school remains a happy school and my intentions are only ever to improve the standards and outcomes and life opportunities for our children. Community is something I will work hard on as I pride myself on positive relationships with all.
As a leader of the school, my main job along with Mrs C Woolley, Deputy Head Teacher, is to make sure children are safe, happy and achieving well. The staff and I will continue making sure all routines become embedded, learning continues to be settled, and high expectations continue to rise as we thrive towards another positive year. I believe children should feel welcome, inspired, safe and supported when they are learning.
I hold a strong belief that parents/carers make an important contribution to children’s achievements at school, and I look forward to continuing this relationship over the coming years.
Welcome again to our school and please do, if you wish arrange a visit to look round our brilliant school.
