Barton Moss Primary School

Year 4

 Dear Year 4,

I really am missing your smiley faces and I can’t wait for us all to be back at school, beavering away in our classroom! However, for now we all need to stay safe and well with our families.

There is plenty for you to do at home....You can access the school home learning page and there are the work packs that many of your parents have picked up from school. You all have logins for Purple Mash, Spelling Shed and TT Rock Stars which I hope you are logging onto on a regular basis. Come on Y4, we need to be at the top of the leader boards! In addition to these online resources, BBC Bitesize has also got some 20 minute videos that you can watch on a daily basis.

If you want a break from online work, why not look on Twitter and see the curriculum ideas that I put on there on a weekly basis. I have seen a few photos on Twitter showing Y4’s achievements but I would love to see more as they really do make my day! I have even received a letter from one of our class members telling me what she has been up to which was wonderful to receive!   Why don’t you do the same? Please email any work that you do to

Keeping mentally and physically fit during this time is extremely important so please remember to do some daily exercise. You can follow a Joe Wicks workout, do a Just Dance or Go Noodle or just have a walk....use Captain Tom as your inspiration! Kickstart have daily challenges to do on Facebook and Twitter and I have put some ideas for Y3/4 from Kickstart on 2Dos on Purple Mash.

Finally, enjoy spending time and learning new skills with your family...learn how to bake a cake, help to cook a meal, wash the car, do some gardening or paint a picture or make a card for a neighbour.

I look forward to seeing what you have been doing!

Stay safe,

Love Mrs Huddart
